Petar S. Ćurčić
Research Assistant
Biography
Petar S. Ćurčić, МА, research assistant, graduate and master historian. He is currently a doctoral
student at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. Petar Ćurčić started working as a
researcher trainee at the Institute for European Studies in 2021, and in 2023 he was elected to the
position of research associate. His main research interests are: political history of Germany and
Central Europe, foreign and security policy of FR Germany, political system of FR Germany,
international relations, geoeconomics, studies of capitalism, history of ideas, theory and
phenomenology of historiography. He is the author of several works on these topics. His articles
have been published in scientific journals and proceedings of conferences in which he
participated. As an excellent student (with an average grade of 9.97/10.00 in undergraduate
studies and 10.00/10.00 in master’s studies), he was a long-term scholarship holder of the
Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and the Ministry of Youth and
Sports. Fund for young talents (“Dositeja” scholarship). Also, he was a participant in several
different seminars at the Petnica Research Station, where he attended the History Seminar (from
2012 to 2016), both as a student and as an assistant.
