Our new edition published in collaboration with Catena Mundi publishing house, the book entitled “Constructing synthetic nations” is an in-depth exploration of the complex processes of creating and manipulating national identities on a global scale. Under the editorship of Miša Đurković, this work explores how great powers use national engineering as instrument of geopolitics, with a special focus on Serbia and Russia.With the help of the articles of prominent scientists, the book analyzes cases from the Balkans and the post-Soviet space, revealing the mechanisms behind the formation and dissolution of national identities.
