On Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 12:00 PM, the Institute for European Studies will host a lecture by H.E. Zoran Jeremić, a Serbian and Yugoslav diplomat:
“Serbian-German Relations in the Era of Global Challenges.”
H.E. Zoran Jeremić, born in Belgrade in 1947, graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade in 1971. Fluent in German, Polish, and English, he has held significant diplomatic roles:
- 1975–1980: Attaché, Embassy of Yugoslavia in Berlin.
- 1983–1987: First Secretary, Embassy of Yugoslavia in Poland.
- 1990: Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of Yugoslavia in Berlin.
- 1991–1992: Head of the Berlin Division, Embassy of Yugoslavia in Germany.
- 1992–1996: Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of FR Yugoslavia in Germany.
- 1996–1999: Ambassador of FR Yugoslavia to Germany.
- 1999–2004: Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Head of Economic Affairs Sector.
- 2004–2012: Consul General, Consulate General of Serbia in Salzburg.
- 2014–2020: Consul General, Consulate General of Serbia in Zurich.
