Biography

Petar S. Ćurčić, MA, research associate, graduate and master historian. He is currently a
doctoral student at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. As an excellent student
(with an average grade of 9.97/10.00 in undergraduate studies and 10.00/10.00 in master’s
studies), he was a long-term scholarship holder of the Ministry of Education, Science and
Technological Development and the Ministry of Istrian Sports. Fund for young talents
(“Dositeja” scholarship).


In 2021, Petar Ćurčić started working as a research trainee at the Institute for European
Studies, and in 2023 he was promoted to the position of research associate. His main research
interests are: political history of Germany and Central Europe, foreign and security policy of FR
Germany, political system of FR Germany, international relations, geoeconomics, studies of
capitalism, history of ideas, theory and phenomenology of historiography. He is the author of
several works on these topics. His articles have been published in scientific journals and book
chapters.

Also, he was a participant in several different seminars at the Petnica Research Station,
where he attended the History Seminar (from 2012 to 2016), and as an external associate he was
engaged in the activities of the Mihajlo Pupin Regional Talent Center from Pancevo.
