Our colleague, MA Ivona Leskur, research trainee, participated in the forum “China–Europe Youth Dialogue 2025: China–Europe Relations in the Next 50 Years”, organized by the Institute of European Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing and the China-CEE Institute in Budapest.
The forum was held on 17 November at the premises of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing and brought together 60 participants from 30 countries to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and the European Union. The event provided an opportunity for young people from Europe and China to discuss the role of youth in shaping future China–Europe cooperation in the areas of technological innovation, infrastructure, economy, and culture.
The forum was preceded by a study visit to the city of Hangzhou from 12 to 16 November, during which our colleague, together with other participants, had the opportunity to visit various scientific and educational institutions and technological centers to learn about China’s modernization and digitalization processes, as well as Chinese culture and tradition. These included Westlake University, the ZJU Hangzhou Global Scientific and Technological Innovation Center, the robotics company Deep Robotics, and the Silk Museum. In addition, Ms Leskur took part in the event “Encounters in Zhejiang Province – Conversations About the Future”, which was held at Zhejiang College of Finance.
