On Thursday, April 18, starting at 12:00 p.m., the Institute for European Studies organizes the presentation of the books of Dr. Seid Halilović and Dr. Muamer Halilović
“Islam and the sociology of religion” and “Currents of Islamic thought in the 20th century”.
Dr. Muamer Halilović (Prijepolje, 1987), is a member of the Founder’s Council of the Center for Religious Sciences “Kom” in Belgrade. Graduated, master’s degree (topic: The essence of civilization in transcendental philosophy) and doctorate (topic: Comparative analysis of the sociology of religion of Muhammad Hussein Tabatabi and Emile Durkheim) at al-Mustafa International University in Qom, Iran. After completing his studies, he was the head of the Group for Civilization Research at the Bakir al-Ulum Institute of Social Sciences in Kom and the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Philosophy of Civilization. For more than ten years, he has been the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal for religious sciences Kom in Belgrade. He has published numerous scientific works in the field of Islamic philosophy and social thought in domestic and international scientific journals.
Seid Halilović (Prijepolje, 1980), is a member of the Founder’s Council of the Kom Center for Religious Sciences in Belgrade. he received his master’s degree (topic: Mullah Sadr Shirazi and the personal unity of existence) and his doctorate (topic: The Hierarchy of the Universe in Ibn Arabi and Jacob Boehme) at al-Mustafa International University in the Iranian city of Qom. During his stay in Kom, in the period from 1993 to the end of 2011, he participated in long-standing traditional seminars on Arabic morphology, syntax and rhetoric, Islamic jurisprudence and methodology of jurisprudence, as well as Islamic philosophy and theoretical Sufism. He was a member of the academic council of Al Mustafa International University and vice-dean at the Faculty of Studies on Religions and Islamic Directions of that university until the end of 2011. He is a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal for religious sciences Kom. He has published numerous scientific works in the field of Islamic philosophy, theoretical Sufism and contemporary Muslim thought in domestic and international journals.
