The book “Pusto tursko”, authored by academician Darko Tanasković, has been published.
The book was published by the Institute for Political Networking together with the Institute of European Studies and Informatika AD Belgrade.
Very informative reviews were written by Dr. Miša Đurković, Dr. Saša Gajić and Vojislav Lalić.
In the study of Professor Tanasković, the works created after the publication of the first edition of the book Neoosmanizam [Neo-Ottomanism] were collected. In the first part, there are several scientific papers that were created on the occasion of marking the anniversary of the Balkan wars and the First World War. The second part contains longer journalistic texts that were created as a reaction to certain events and events related to Turkish foreign or domestic policy. All together, it gives a good overview of the internal and foreign policy dynamics of Turkey during the decade that is coming to an end. Tanaskovic very objectively points out that we must not underestimate the strength of Turkey at all, as the recent war in Nagorno Karabakh and Arcah showed. Tanasković’s focus is primarily on Turkey’s very complex actions in the Balkans. He notices well the significantly changed attitude and rhetoric after 2016, when relations with Serbia and the Serbian people improved.
Many common words, musical traditions, tourism, investments are the things that connect us and on which good future relations can really be built. The author testifies to all this very carefully and in a balanced way in this paper. The most important message is that Turkey must be followed seriously and in detail, that it is a very important factor for us, which should first be understood and studied in order to build real relations in the mutual interest.
