Our colleague, Dr. Aleksa Filipović, research associate, participated in the virtual format at the fourth Serbian-Russian expert seminar “Identities and Real Practices in the Sociocultural and Geopolitical Dynamics of Eurasia”. The seminar was held on December 24, within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Department of International Relations and Regional Studies of the Novosibirsk State Technical University (DIRR NSTU NETI) and the Institute of European Studies (IES), with the support of the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPL SB RAS).
The topic of the IV session was “Ethno-national and civilizational in the Eurasian socio-cultural space: correlations, problems and prospects”, moderated by Prof. Dr. Olga Vladimirovna Zinevich, Head of the DIRR NSTU, and Prof. Dr. Dmitriy Vladimirovich Karnaukhov, DIRR NSTU.
Dr. Aleksa Filipović gave a lecture entitled “The ongoing process of forming the Serbian national idea and modern identity – from the Habsburg monarchy to the concept of the ‘Serbian world”. As part of the further expert discussion, Prof. Dr. Yuriy Vladimirovich Popkov, Senior Research Fellow at the IPL SB RAS and Professor at the DIRR NSTU, gave a lecture entitled “Ethnosocial processes in civilizational dynamics: current issues of the problem field”, while Prof. Dr. Dmitriy Vladimirovich Karnaukhov gave a lecture entitled “Ethnic, metaethnic and civilizational imperatives in the identity of Poland”.
After the expert discussion, the audience had the opportunity to participate in the further work of the seminar with questions and comments.
