February 21 – Prof. Dmitry Karnaukhov: “Pax Polonica – How a Historical Concept Practically Affects the Crisis in Europe”
Dmitry Karnaukhov (1973) is a doctor of historical sciences, full professor at the Department of International Relations and Regional Studies of the Novosibirsk State Technical University (Russia).
He is an expert on the history of Poland and Russian-Polish relations. He investigates the formation of Polish historical mythology, the construction of Polish ideological concepts of the history of Russia and the USSR, models of political instrumentalization of history. Recently, he has been studying the ideological confrontation between Poland and Russia in Eastern Europe and the formation of anti-Russian ideological projects in Poland aimed at weakening the potential of Russian influence in Western Eurasia.
He is the author of more than 80 scholarly papers.
