The Institute of European Studies is organizing the scientific conference
“THE UNITED STATES – A MOSAIC OF EUROPEAN PEOPLES”,
which will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025,
in the ceremonial hall of the Institute of European Studies (Trg Nikole Pašića 11, 4th floor, Room 136), from 11:00 AM to 2:15 PM.
The conference will be opened by the Director of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Slobodan Zečević, followed by two panels in which researchers and associates of the Institute will present their papers.
The presentations will address the social, cultural, political, and religious aspects of the lives of European diasporas in the United States – including German, Italian, Austrian, Spanish, Jewish, Turkish, Serbian, Croatian, Albanian, Russian, and other communities.
The aim of the conference is to highlight the ethnic diversity of American society and the role that European diasporas have played in its historical, cultural, and institutional development.
The proceedings of the conference will be published under the same title by the Institute of European Studies.
The working language of the conference is Serbian.
