The round table will open a discussion on globalization in football, similar to that in finances,
at the world level. The functioning of world financial institutions and capital movements will
be analyzed, parallels will be made with decision-making in football, which is increasingly in
the function of market economy; international organizations in finance and football will be
compared: IMF and WB with FIFA and UEFA; it will be demonstrated how the role of
international institutions has changed significantly since their establishment; the role of rich
economies, rich leagues, rich clubs will be followed, along with all interesting and current
topics in the field of football. The intention of the round table is to argumentatively and objectively
indicate the role of these institutions today and in the past.
The discussion will be held at Institute’s Conference Hall, but it can be also attended via Zoom, on this link.
