Dr. Željka Buturović
EDUCATION IN SERBIA AFTER RIBNIKAR
Dr. Željka Buturović is a research associate at the Institute of Social Sciences. Željka Buturović
deals with empirical and theoretical work. Her empirical research covers the areas of political
psychology, American politics and public opinion, decision making and the process of family
formation, and parental adjustment to the norms surrounding child birth. Dr. Buturović’s
theoretical work covers several topics in bioethics (medical ethics, reproductive ethics,
parenting), decision-making and evolution. Dr. Željka Buturović publishes in the world’s leading
scientific journals. Also, she was involved in public opinion research in the USA, where she
defended her doctorate in psychology at Columbia University in New York. She previously
received a master’s degree in psychology from the same university as well as a master’s degree in
statistics from Harvard University.
