H.E. Dragana Filipović
COUNCIL OF EUROPE – CRISIS OF SIGNIFICANCE AND THE ROLE OF INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN A RAPIDLY CHANGING WORLD
Dragana Filipović is a career diplomat with extensive experience in bilateral and multilateral missions, representing her country or an international organization. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade (International Law Department). She has vast experience working within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions, as well as representing international organizations such as the Council of Europe in member states or before other international bodies like the United Nations.
She possesses high expertise and leadership in negotiations, political and security analysis, preventive diplomacy, mediation, post-conflict institution-building, judicial reform, democracy promotion, media freedom, and human rights. Her work focuses on women’s rights, conflict management, post-conflict challenges, human rights, international law, and religious and cultural diversity. She has a proven track record of commitment and results in supporting human rights defenders and political prisoners, as mandated by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
