On Friday, March 13, 2026, starting at 12 noon, the Institute of European Studies in
cooperation with French Institute in Serbia are organizing a lecture

Prof. David Djaîz

IS EUROPEAN SOVEREIGNTY POSSIBLE?

David Djaîz is a professor at the Faculty of Political Science in Paris and an essayist. He was
born in 1990 in Agen, in the south-east of France. He was a graduate of l’École normale
supérieure and l’École Nationale d’Administration, two prestigious French higher education
institutions that have produced over 15 Nobel laureates, as well as several prime ministers and
ministers of the French Republic. Djaiz worked at the Ministry of Finance and was director of
the Agency for Territorial Cohesion. He has published several books:

  • La guerre civile n’aura pas lieu (Cerf, 2017) – There will be no civil war.
  • Slow Démocratie, 2019 – Slow Democracy
  • Comment maîtriser la mondialisation et reprendre notre destin en main (Allary Éditions, 2019)-
    How to master globalization and take back control of our destiny. For this 2020 edition, he
    received the French Students’ Prize for Political Book of the Year as well as the Édouard
    Bonnefous de l’Académie des sciences morales et politiques (Academy of Ethical and Political
    Sciences)
  • Le Nouveau modèle français 2021 (Allary Éditions), 2021 – The New French Model 2021.

David Djaîz is a prominent French essayist and analyst of international and European relations,
who frequently appears in French electronic and print media.
