Institute for European Studies in co-organization with the Center for Ibero-American Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Novi Sad, International Congress of Americanists ICA2025 and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Belgrade organizes a lecture, оn March 18, starting at 6:00 p.m, by Prof. Dr. Manuel Alcantara Saez:
“Political sciences, globalization and digital technologies”
Manuel Alcantara Sáez is Professor Emeritus at the University of Salamanca. He graduated in political science and sociology (1976) and holds a doctorate in political science (1984) at the Complutense University in Madrid. He has taught courses at various Spanish universities, as well as at the Center for Constitutional Studies in Madrid, and at foreign universities: Georgetown University, Tulane University, Flasco-Ecuador, Pontifical Bolivarian University (Medellin), among others. His main areas of research concern the study of parliamentary elites, elections, political parties and legislative power in Latin America. He has held extended research stays at the College of Europe (Bruges), the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) and the University of Notre Dame. Prof. Dr. Saes is the vice-president of the International Congress of Americanists ICA2025, which will be held next year in Novi Sad.
