Srboljub Peović, Research Assistant, participated in the Senior Official Meeting on strengthening migration management in the Western Balkans in tandem with the migration and asylum reform in the European Union. The meeting was held within the framework of the project Reinforcing Migration Management in Western Balkan countries based on the EU Pact on Migration and Other Upcoming Improvements of EU Migration System (RePACT), which is implemented by the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), with the support of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees of the Federal Republic of Germany (BAMF). The project takes place through consultation and coordination with five Western Balkans countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia).
This project is also designed to facilitate cooperation between the countries of the Western Balkans, exploring opportunities for cooperation with the European Union, in addition to strengthening migration management in the region, in parallel with the European Union Migration Pact.
