Various ties are being strengthened between the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and scientific cooperation is developing, among other things. A step in that direction will be the international scientific-expert round table “Parallels between Ukraine, Russia and the Balkans”, which will be held from May 9 to 15, 2024 in Serbia and Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The organizers of this scientific-expert round table are the Institute for European Studies (Serbia), the University of East Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “Center for Public and Information Cooperation ‘Europe'”, with the participation of the Fund for the Support and Legal Protection of Compatriots who live abroad, as well as the Public Diplomacy Support Fund “A.M. Gorchakov” (Russia).
As part of the scientific-expert round table, topics related to both historical and current political, social, economic and cultural parallels in the countries of the post-Soviet and post-Yugoslav regions will be discussed.
Leading experts and experts specialized in the field of international political, sociological, economic and cultural research from Serbia, Russia, Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina were invited to participate in the work of the scientific-expert round table.
The Belgrade part of the scientific-expert round table will be held in the formal hall of the Institute for European Studies (room 136, 4th floor) at the address: trg Nikola Pašića 11, 11000 Belgrade, Serbia at 10.00 am.
It is planned to publish a collection of papers with the results of the scientific-expert round table in Russian, English and Serbian.
