Robert Kokta is an American diplomat currently assigned to the State Department’s East Asia and Pacific Bureau in Washington, DC. He was previously posted in Hong Kong and Macau, and Belgrade, Serbia. Prior to joining the State Department, Mr. Kokta was active in US politics, served on Capitol Hill for a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and worked at policy think tanks in the United States and Europe. Mr. Kokta holds a Master’s degree in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School, Tufts University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University.
