lecture by Prof. Dr. Ivan Vujačić:
2024 U.S. PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS – EXPECTATIONS AND POSSIBLE
CONSEQUENCES
Ivan Vujačić is a full professor at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade and a professor at the
Faculty of Political Science at the University of Belgrade (retired). At the Faculty of Economics,
he taught Principles of Economics, Contemporary Economic Systems, and Economics of
European Integration. As a guest professor at the Faculty of Political Science, he taught
Comparative Economic Systems, International Economic Relations, and the U.S. Economic
System in the Master’s program in American Studies. He currently teaches a course on
International Political Economy to American students from Clemson University as part of their
Study Abroad program. He is one of the organizers and lecturers at the summer school held in
cooperation with Northeastern University from Boston and the Faculty of Economics in
Belgrade. He is a member of the Presidency and Executive Board of the Serbian Association of
Economists. He is a member of the Presidency of the Serbian Scientific Society of Economists.
He is the president of the Fulbright & Friends (Fulbright Scholarship Holders/Alumni
Association in Serbia). He is a member of the Harvard Club in Serbia. He is also a member of
the European Association for Comparative Economic Studies and served on its Executive Board
from 2014 to 2016. He was president of the Forum for International Relations of the European
Movement in Serbia (2019-2023) and served on the Board of Directors of the American
Chamber of Commerce in Belgrade (2011-2015). He was an independent member of the Board
of Directors of Eurobank in Belgrade (2010-2021). He was a federal MP on the Democratic
Party’s list (1992-1996) and Head of the Parliamentary Group (1994-1996). He is a member of
the Political Council and Main Board of the Democratic Party. From 2002 to 2009, he was the
Ambassador to the United States.
