Petar Ranković

Biography
Petar Ranković is a PhD Student at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Belgrade. He has been a Scholarship Student at the Institute for European Studies since May 2023. Petar completed his undergraduate studies in political science with an average grade of 8.51 at the Faculty of Political Sciences. He obtained his master’s degree at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade with an average grade of 9.5. During his master’s studies, he defended his thesis on „Specificities of the organization and management of international transport during the COVID-19 virus pandemic”. His main research interests are International Economic Relations, Energy Security, Geopolitics of Critical Mineral Resources, and Political Communication.
Petar gained his initial professional experience through a three-year engagement with the coaching and training company, Viga. After gaining experience working in the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Mining and Energy, he focused his research on topics in the field of energy security. Petar has participated in numerous scientific gatherings and seminars and has been involved in the preparation and realization of several projects for international and non-governmental organizations and media.
